Philadelphia! PLUS, T-Shirt Sale!
The Time Travelers' history club is dreaming big and reaching far this year. 380 miles far, to be exact, to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! The rich and exciting history of this founding city is just waiting to be discovered by the seven students who want to visit.
We are planning to explore Philadelphia historic sites related to the founding of our country, which is what the club is currently studying. We want to learn about history first-hand, in the places where it happened, in order to better understand and appreciate it. We want to see, feel, and hear history for the full experience.
Here are some historic sites and museums that we want to explore while in Philadelphia:
1. The Liberty Bell
2. Independence Hall and National Historic Park
3. Betsy Ross's house
4. Museum of the American Revolution
5. Carpenter's Hall
6. National Constitution Center
7. The President's House
However, since our club is mostly composed of homeschooling families, we do not have a PTA or other organization to fund this trip. This is where you come in.
To cut down the travel and lodging cost, the club designed North Carolina history themed t-shirts to sell:

To cut down the travel and lodging cost, the club designed North Carolina history themed t-shirts to sell:
They come in burgandy red and charcoal gray and are available in all sizes. These shirts showcase some of the things that have ensured our place in American history:
-A plow to symbolize our agricultural heritage.
-A lighthouse to represent our strong ties to the sea.
-A cannon to remind us of the NC Patriots who made sacrifices to help create the United States.
-Arrows to remember the natives who lived here before and still reside here today.
-The year 1587, when the first European colony was established in what in now the state of North Carolina.
Whether you are a big history fan, or just are proud to call North Carolina home, these t-shirts are for you. 100% of the profits from this sale go towards funding the most EPIC field trip ever, and enabling kids to learn about and appreciate their heritage through hands-on experiences.
Youth and adult sized T-shirts are $20, 2XL is $21, 3XL is $22, and 4XL is $23. Orders can be placed until December 4th. T-shirts will be available for pick-up at Tractor Supply in Roxboro, NC, from 12-3pm on Saturday, December 14th.
